Jan. 5 - Empowering the Female Athlete
Video of the Presentation:
Join Mercer County Trails Association and the Grove City Athletics Club in celebrating and informing the female athlete. This event’s catalyst was a NY Times article on Mary Cain, a runner in the Nike Oregon Project.
Amy Perman-Javens has been an amateur and professional champion in her life-time. She’s participated in high school and college athletics. She’s raised three athletic daughters. Join us in welcoming Amy to speak to the community on the topic of Empowering the Female Athlete.
This seminar will have three portions:
1) The first is a presentation by Amy, followed by a short recess.
2) The second portion will be a question & answer period with a panel of local experts in various fields of athletics, medicine, nutrition, and health.
3) After the Q & A ends, if you still have questions that you would like to ask directly, there will be meet & greet stations with some of the experts.
Please join us at the Mercer High School cafeteria. Doors open at 4:30 with the seminar starting at 5:00pm.
Hope to see you there!
